The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is a U.S. immigration program that allows foreign nationals to obtain permanent residency (a green card) by making a qualifying investment in a U.S. business that creates jobs for U.S. workers.
Unlike employment-based or family-based immigration categories, EB-5 is investment-driven. Investors contribute capital to a U.S. project and, in return, may qualify for permanent residency if the program’s investment and job-creation requirements are met.
The EB-5 program is administered by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
